The Pricklepaw
Design Brief
Visualise, illustrate and design a well-crafted and captivating character, whilst also providing a glimpse of the world in which they live. All elements forming part of this project, including character, world, text, design elements, and parts of the visual development process should ultimately be presented as an unfolding, digital, vertical narrative; momentarily immersing the viewer into an imaginary, but believable world as they scroll from top to bottom.

Design Strategy
The tale of the Pricklepaw is a spiky, desperate tale of chasing to be anything but yourself. A wolf that desperately dreams of becoming a sheep, the Pricklepaw is fed up with being feared and isolated, but most of all, he's fed up with his fur. It's too sharp, too spiky and completely opposite of the soft heavenly wool of the sheep in the valley below.
So hatches a plan to acquire a sheep's wool.

Greatly inspired by the tales of Roald Dahl, the narrative, including visuals, is told like a children's storybook. The rough, simple style of digital illustration and the bold, flat shapes are striking, building an incredibly stylised world. The story is told through a poem, interwoven with expressive visuals, storybook visuals and sharp typography.
