I wanted to turn more of my photos into black and white street photography. Recently, I was in NYC when I came across this amazing subject with the most infectious smile. Right away, I knew I had to capture his photo, but I was standing in front of a firehouse with all the bright red fire engines. So, I decided to leave the scene alone. I couldn't help but ask why the smile. He explained that he had gone from finance to firefighting and could not have been happier!
