VCD 2: Typography | Project: Typographic Book Covers
Assignment: Design a series of four typographic book covers for the trade book market. This series of books are related by author and should clearly look like they belong together as a set. The designs should focus on typography. Images may be used, but no more than 1 per cover, and no more than what is necessary (again: the emphasis here is on typography). We are following the edict: show, don't tell—and especially with type/words. Ornaments and dingbats are allowed. Your finished designs should appear as realistic as possible and fit into any bookstore display.
