These images are from a second year soft sewing project. The concept behind it was the fear of death. This dress represents to me the thin veil between life and death which we must all confront.
Being made from silk chiffon the dress is entirely hand sewn, including the zip. Using a combination of bias panels and panels on the straight grain, I wove them all together in a manipulation stitch.
