Reverse the Curse

The quest for gender equality
This is a game that tackles the root causes of violence against women - gender inequality
learnt from a very young age.
Our goal is to create a context in which boys and girls work together and must collaborate to win.
Our target audience
Talking to teachers and child psychologist we learned that kids develop peer-to-peer
and cross-gender collaboration skills at ages 7-10,
critical age for developing their world views and constructs.
Therefore we chose to target boys & girls age 7–10

We want to spark awareness and start a conversation about inequality in traditional gender roles.
Decided a big playground game would be best for our audience age group (7-10, especially boys) so designed an active physical game. and used a fairy tale storytelling narrative to engage the kids.

Reverse the Curse combines playground favorites (dodgeball, capture the flag, and flag football) for a wild
two- team game. Throw balls and steal flags, but since players have different powers, collaboration is necessary to win.
