Many warriors from the Cibolan tribes participated in the Tuzcarra Crusade. These fighters abandoned the use of the dorsal banners that distinguished them in intertribal conflicts and all, regardless of origin, wore white war paint made from ash. They also adopted equipment from their Mazargan allies, especially falchions. The Cibolans preferred this type of cutting weapon because they were used to serrated war clubs and it was easier for them to learn to use the falchion than swords designed for thrusting. The warrior shown in the image is a wealthy veteran who also wears some foreign clothing.

To design the cibolans I was inspired by the Tlaxcalans of the real world, especially the images of warriors in the Lienzo de Tlaxcala.
