A frame of hanoi's sound

My artwork to participate in adidas's contest. Although it did not make it to the next round,

I have so much fun working on this piece. Hope you enjoy it too!

The Đồng Thanh Contest

The Đồng Thanh Contest is launched by adidas Vietnam. The main objective of the contest is to encourage the spirit of understanding and sharing among creators from different perspectives about Vietnam's traditional culture, as well as to find and encourage young talents.

This project will use the artwork of the winners printed directly on the shirt of the adidas brand. From there, promoting culture and art through the new perspective of artists closer to the masses.

Idea

Hanoi is a city full of unique sounds, each telling its own story about

the capital's cultural features. I chose simple sounds that are familiar to Hanoi's residents, such as the "Pho" and the loudspeaker announcement "This is the voice of Vietnam", to convey the message that even amidst the busy chaos of life, Hanoians never forget these characteristics tones.

That's why I want to keep them in each frame, by visualizing and anthropomorphizing the sounds, combined with outstanding and attractive expressions, as a way to capture every moment of life. This is also the reason why the artwork does not have the appearance of people but still brings a lively and bustling picture of Hanoi, a modern but nostalgic Hanoi.
