BACKGROUND: "Tu Er Ye" (兔儿爷) is commonly known as the "Rabbit God" or the " Rabbit Deity" is believed to bring blessings, protection, and good fortune. Tu Er Ye is often depicted sitting on beasts, such as tiger or lions which are often associated with power, strength, and protection. This imagery reinforces and serves to elevate the deity's status, convey his protective and authoritative qualities.
