As layers of wax harden, it drips distorts, manipulating the original human hand structure further. Different thicknesses of wax change the shape of the human form so the cast becomes a more abstract interpretation of this natural structure.
I made these casts my dipping my hand into cooling melted wax wearing a latex glove. I then waited for the wax to harden before peeling my hand and the glove out of the wax to leave the white hollow structure behind.
