Vinyl is not dead

Project scope: Redesign of an LP cover
The album I got from the teachers was 'Given to the Wild' from The Maccabees 🎶

I didn't knew the music, so I first listened to it and I really love Indie Rock so I liked the album very much 🤩
After listening, I made a sketch for each song how I felt about it or what I thought the meaning was, after that, I combined some sketches and ended up with this idea.

Photos I took: Buried clock in my garden at home, Veltembos Sint-Kruis (Bruges), My little grandnephew Moos

I made the songtexts on the inner cover textblocks because the meaning of it made me think of little stories
and the album has me thinking about growing up, not always in good places at good times and reminiscing about the good old times. I also placed them so that the negative space has an abstract tree shape.

I made a cut-out of the clock so that you see the clock on the inner cover on the outer cover too.
