Coral is a very beautiful and unusual animal. Each coral head consists of thousands of individual polyps. These polyps are continually budding and branching into genetically identical neighbors (Antony Garrett Lisi - American Physicist).
Although coral reefs cover barely 0, 2% of the ocean surface, they host 30% of marine biodiversity! For fish and other marine animals, corals provide shelter, a nursery, and a breeding ground for many species.
I designed this portfolio collection of coral reef textures as an ode to ocean life. Let's cherish it!
