Degree Project - "Soft" Apparel Catalogue

This project was inspired by my love of fashion and apparel and reflects my passion for branding and the marketing of all things in the fashion industry.

The final product is pictured below the following Abstract and Statement that began my process.
I created the logo, branding, photography (and retouching), as well as styled all outfits contained in the catalogue. The back cover pictures packaging which I branded, designed, and then photographed.

Abstract

Soft Lookbook: An exploration of fashion expressed through photography and typography

The final piece to be created will be, by definition, a lookbook. It will function as a fashion catalogue advertising clothing, promoting a cohesive aesthetic and fictional clothing brand. This female-only brand will be created and envisioned by the artist, and utilize outfits and makeup from other brands for the purpose of photograph subject matter. Fall clothing/theme will most likely be featured. The book in comparison to other current fashion catalogues will be more photography-based. It will convey the emotion behind the clothing and enhance the visual appeal and stylistic aspects of the brand, showcased in each outfit/look.

Statement

As stated above, the lookbook will represent a female-only clothing line. The target audience will be women in their late teens/early twenties, who would like to update their casual wardrobe to be earthy, yet sophisticated. Lighting techniques will be experimented with, as they are being learned in another class and will be a major focus. The goal for the aesthetic is slightly surreal, feminine and soft, but with strategic contrasting elements, and very much nature-inspired. I will take all photographs, and would like the majority of photos to be taken outside, depending on what type of lighting techniques are learned in the process.
