El So de les Cases és un cicle de concerts de petit format en edificis i espais que formen part del patrimoni arquitectònic de la ciutat de Vic.
Ja en la seva setena edició, un dels desafiaments per renovar la imatge gràfica d’aquest esdeveniment era parlar de patrimoni i tradició, però mostrant al mateix temps, el caràcter contemporani del cicle.

El primer que vam fer va ser plantejar-nos la següent pregunta: Com seria el so d’una casa?

Amb la voluntat de trobar la resposta i disposats a representar els valors de música, tradició i patrimoni, vam decidir crear un mòbil sonor format per diversos volums abstractes. Per l’elaboració d’aquests components, vam prendre com a referències algunes de les formes, colors i elements arquitectònics de la Casa Comella, un dels molts edificis modernistes que conformen el llegat arquitectònic de la ciutat.

Vam escollir el mòbil sonor perquè és un objecte que, tradicionalment, podíem trobar a l'entrada de moltes cases i comerços donant una benvinguda musical als seus visitants. L’artefacte ideal per parlar de so dins d’un context arquitectònic. A l’hora de materialitzar les peces que formen el mòbil sonor, vam decidir comptar amb l’estreta col·laboració de diferents artesans i professionals de la comarca d’Osona. A través de la ceràmica —amb esmalts i tècniques propis del modernisme català—, el treball de la fusta, la manipulació del metall o fins i tot el tall làser de metacrilat —per aportar el toc de contemporaneïtat—, vam anar obtenint els diferents volums. D’aquesta manera, a més de posar en valor el patrimoni arquitectònic, cultural i musical del territori, també visibilitzem el paper d’un sector tan delicat i valuós com és el de l'artesania.

El resultat és un projecte que va molt més enllà dels processos habituals del nostre sector i que proposa nous formats, donant pas a un cartell cinètic i sonor, i una campanya dinàmica i impactant. I el més important de tot: és real! Una peça única, càlida i artesana que transcendeix el disseny gràfic i ens convida a reflexionar sobre la sonoritat que es crea en cada espai segons els materials i volumetries amb els quals s'ha construït.

'El So de les Cases' is a cycle of small concerts in buildings and spaces that are part of the architectural heritage of the city of Vic.
Already in its seventh edition, one of the challenges to renewing the graphic image of this event was to talk about heritage and tradition, but at the same time show the contemporary nature of the cycle.

The first thing we did was to ask ourselves the following question: What would a house sound like?

With the will to find the answer and ready to represent the values of music, tradition, and heritage, we decided to create a sound mobile made up of several abstract volumes. For the elaboration of these components, we took as references some of the shapes, colors, and architectural elements of Casa Comella, one of the many modernist buildings that make up the city's architectural legacy.

We chose the sound mobile because it is an object that, traditionally, we could find at the entrance of many houses and shops giving a musical welcome to their visitors. The ideal artifact to talk about sound within an architectural context. When materializing the parts that make up the sound mobile, we decided to count on the close collaboration of different artisans and professionals from the Osona region. Through ceramics —with glazes and techniques typical of Catalan modernism—, woodworking, metal manipulation, or even laser cutting of methacrylate —to bring the touch of contemporaneity—, we obtained the different volumes. In this way, in addition to highlighting the architectural, cultural, and musical heritage of the territory, we also make visible the role of a sector as delicate and valuable as that of handicrafts.

The result is a project that goes far beyond the usual processes of our sector and that proposes new formats, giving way to a kinetic and sound poster, and a dynamic and impactful campaign. And most important of all: it's real! A unique, warm, and artisan piece that transcends graphic design and invites us to reflect on the sound that is created in each space according to the materials and volumes with which it has been built.
