Seasonal Incense Series

東京香堂さんの、植物とのご縁がある時に製作されてきた2017年から続くお香シリーズです。

白檀、ジャスミン、ローズ、パロサント、フランキンセンス、木蓮、水晶、青竹…などなど、

それぞれの植物や鉱物が持つ佇まいと香りを水彩で表現しラベルにしています。

This is a series of incense that has been produced by Tokyo Kodo since 2017, when it has been associated with plants.
Sandalwood, jasmine, rose, palo santo, frankincense, magnolia, crystal, green bamboo...etc,
The appearance and fragrance of each plant and mineral is expressed in watercolor on the label.

蓮華

蓮華はたった4日しか咲かない花。

2日目の午前中の花蕾から抽出した香りを使われているそうです。

自然の恵みを大切に大切に使われている、希少なお香です。

蓮華の蕾で包まれているようなイメージでラベルをデザインしました。

The lotus flower blooms for only four days.
They use the fragrance extracted from the flower buds on the morning of the second day.
It is a rare incense that is carefully and carefully used from nature's bounty.
We designed the label with the image of being wrapped in lotus buds.

冬香（とうか）

日本の春夏秋冬の「冬」
冷たく透き通ったきれいな空気の中で焚きたくなるような神秘的な香りのお香です。
香りと一緒に言葉もお持ち帰りいただけるようにカードも制作することになりました。
あたたかい情景・整えること・心地いい緊張感を、ひとつの詩のように表現していただいています。
パッケージのラベルは、氷柱から着想を得た形をブラシで描き、
トレーシングペーパーに白インクで印刷しています。

Winter" in Japanese spring, summer, autumn and winter.
This incense has a mysterious fragrance that makes you want to burn it in the cold, clear, clean air.
We also decided to produce a card so that you can take home the words along with the fragrance.
We have asked them to express warm scenes, preparation, and comfortable tension as if they were a single poem.
For the package label, we used a brush to draw a shape inspired by icicles,
and printed on tracing paper with white ink.
