Mellow Mushroom is an eclectic pizzeria known across the country for its fun, creative atmosphere and funky decor. For a new location in town, we designed and installed two wheat paste murals themed around Cincinnati icons such as Pete Rose, The Isley Brothers, Annie Oakley, King Records, Johnny “Guitar” Watson and Music Hall. Taking influence from American graphic designer Milton Glaser, we also hand-painted colorful mushrooms and other imagery using bold, black line work with primary pop colors that dial up the psychedelic style.
