Palliative Love
Hoarding is considered a mental illness, specifically a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Those who struggle with hoarding tendencies are usually diagnosed with OCD behavior patterns. They tend to amass and accumulate everyday items that may have once belonged to someone else or served a temporary purpose. Fortunately, there are treatment options available for hoarding, and recovery is possible.
In the context of this project, the goal was to create labels for one hundred small pill bottles. These labels not only functioned as a method of therapy but also embodied the obsessive love and hoarding tendencies of Kemal, the main character of The Museum of Innocence. The titles and information on these labels were inspired by excerpts from Orhan Pamuk's novel.
