We process all we hear through a complex set of filters. Our history, unique agenda and personal needs influence our interpretation of the words of others. Some things we hear are misunderstood, overlooked, even lost, while others are exaggerated beyond their intention. Some sound an alarm, some threaten us while others inspire and comfort us for a lifetime. Some are just B.S. 

It is a very complex process…
