Introduction

This academic project is an assignment performed as a part of the Graphic Design course focused on a book illustration. It involved creating an illustration serie and a book cover for whichever position chosen. 

I chose the polish book "Duchy I Duszki Bojszowskie" which is a a collection of folk tales common among people in the Upper Silesia region. 

Project consists of 4 hand-drawn illustrations and a book cover design. 

Rough pencil sketches help me look for shapes, concepts and ideas I will use later in the process.

In order to design a book cover, I also created two illustration to use, which would convey same aesthetic as the illustrations above.
