With Moore Metalworks, the challenge was to create a logo that communicated reliability expected for a contractor, while keeping the logo modern so that customers could know that he also does more creative metalworking projects. 

The slab serif font served this purpose well, and the "M" icon was successful in incorporating metal bars with a badge shape, tying in his military background.
