Campfire Stool
Hello, for my CRT 320 Robotics and CNC class, I built a pen plotter. This is made up of mdf wood that is cut out by a shop bot. These pieces are then painted and held together with all-thread rod, other types of fasters and then mdf spacers. For my design I had decided to go with a check engine light design as I am a mechanic and enjoy working on cars.

Above, are the Fusion 360 files that I created for the shop bot to cut out the pieces of MDF.
This is what the main pieces looked like for reference. The next step was to sand these down and paint them.
I first put on a layer of matte Modge Podge as a base so the paint would not be absorbed by the wood. Then, I used a single coat of acrylic paint.
This is what the final product looks like and I am very satisfied with its results. I wood-glued a spacer between the inside portion and the disk with the lightning bolt to give a floating look. Overall I feel that this project looks nice and is very comfortable to sit on.
