These are some hand-made drawings I made during my 3 month long imprisonment

in "Central Prison" in Belgrade, Serbia in period from February to May 2010.

Hungry Eyes

You know that feeling when your stomach is full but your eyes are still hungry......

After 11 days, I was transferred from quarantine to new location called "Minel"...
This is what my first impression was.....

......but at the end, it wasn't so bad....
.....in fact, it couldn't be better :)

I needed to keep my mind busy, so I wanted to work on some details.....

In first few days, I really felt sad and lonely, and all I wanted was to go home and continue with normal life.....
(this one is a bit pathetic....)

This is my impression of the people who guarded us......
At least, this was the 90% of the guards....
10% were really, REALLY nice guys and very friendly....

This is one of my favorites..

At one moment I realized that I felt bad and good emotion about the prison at the same time.....
It was like, one part of me felt like it belongs there, but I still wanted to go home.....

This is my favorite one in this set....

I didn't have in mind anything satanic or atheistic or anti-religious or whatever.........
This is just how I felt....... It was like, it wasn't enough that I was already punished, so I started punishing myself more with very strict way of living......

This is the last one I made in there....
I was really nervous because it was my time to get out, so I needed something to keep me calm.... So I started doting the background......

Last week was like a year......

This is exactly how I felt, light/exit was so close, but the darkness was constantly pulling me back..........
