Rihanna's company Fenty Beauty & Fenty Skin have my heart. My initial challenge was to create a thorough design that was BIG, BAD and BOLD like her, but also have a holiday color palette. Something to represent all of the qualities she shares with us through her products. For ideas I looked through female catalogs such as Ulta , Estee Lauder and even MAC. All these catalogs for sure were calling my name to spend some money, but I had to stick with the script, what gave them the qualities to promote and sell? I made note of the catch phrases and I even looked through Fenty's own website to see the type of tone Rihanna uses to sell her merchandise.
As a female, I personally think her best product would be her lipgloss, I wouldn't not know one girly out there who hasn't owned it at least once. 20$ for one is a little pricey, especially how fast you go through it, but once I saw she had 3 on sale for 38$ I knew I had to include that on the back cover of the first page. Smart selling. Screw the makeup, the skincare line... amazing. I know plenty of women out there who don't always want to put makeup on, including myself. Fenty Skin allows the ladies to feel comfortable & fresh in their own skin with tons of benefits with each individual one.
A man who loves his girl and wants to get her a little something nice for Christmas should start here, stop getting her clothes or shoes she has enough of and up her skin game! I loved creating this catalog because it allowed me to get in touch with my creative side along with designing something professional that I was proud of. Hint hint go add some Fenty to that Christmas list, you can thank me later!
