The Púca at Samhain
Samhain is a festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It is on this night that the veil between the other world and our own is thinnest, when fairies and spirits cross over. The Púca is one such being.
The day after Samhain the blackberries have shrivelled and died, the Púca is said to have spat on them leaving them spoiled.
