Nothing but one of the few random ideas I came up with a couple of weeks ago, Chai finally came to form a few days ago. It’s my final submission for a course and something I’m truly proud of.

Chai is about a guy who loves tea and the process of making it. That’s it. It’s just a small idea which will forever remain a part of me and (hopefully) be the beginning of a new journey.

The hyper short film needed to have some national or transnational content and the way ‘nair walay pul te bula ke’ brought the Pakistani essence to the story is crazy. Madam Noor Jehan’s voice, old Pakistani film posters, the Lahore silhouette and at the film’s core, everyone’s first love, chai.
