Mercy Iowa City competes with a major academic medical center that also happens to be associated with a major university, the University of Iowa. Most students on campus, like many campuses, preferred to not go to the on-campus clinics which presented our client an opportunity to reach a younger audience they had never reached before. We created a mobile web app university students could bookmark to their home screen and have quick access to directions to their nearest urgent care or emergency room as well as the phone number to call Mercy’s nurse on call service with health questions. I was responsible for the art direction and UI design of the mobile web app as well as the movie theater spot to promote the web app.
