///The "Surf.Film.Kuril" project is aimed at attracting the attention of tourists to the Russian Far East, to the Northern Kuriles. Special for this was created a team which included a film crew, a travel blogger, a TicTok blogger, pro surfer, a chef and a girl student of the Institute of Journalism, of course we couldn't have done it without the help of local friends. We got to the island by helicopter and immediately after arrival we went to the neighboring island - Atlasov Island.
The main attraction of the center of the northern Kuriles - Paramushir Island is the active volcano Ebeko. The height of the volcano is 1156 meters above sea level. From time to time, the volcano throws out columns of smoke, about 1 km high, but we were more lucky, we saw live how stones fly out of the volcano's mouth, lightning flashes and a huge column of smoke rises.
Paramushir Island has a great place for surfing. Dmitry Ilyasov joined us as a coach, he showed us what surfing is. But he showed it not only to us, we also helped the inhabitants of the island of all ages to try surfing under the supervision of an experienced coach.
In the remaining time we walked around the island, watched the local wild animals and birds, sat around the campfire.
