You must balance just not to become crazy — this is the reality of every Ukrainian today. To balance between explosions and a glass of dry wine with friends, between air alarms and a quiet coffee all alone, between the news and a romantic dinner with a loved one. Today we need places to disconnect from the news feed and air raids.
A recently opened cafe on the territory of the residential complex in Kyiv became such a place.
Close your eyes. The first rays of the spring sun touch your face, you feel a light breeze on your skin, and the aroma of coffee wraps you in a soft blanket... Viter (Wind). Inspired by Coffee.
This brand concept is inspired by the specifics of its location. The light breeze at the Rusanivska embankment, the proximity of the mighty Dnipro river create an atmosphere which makes this cafe seem like a refuge for your emotional state.
You can easily feel the gust of wind, you can hear its whisper. But can you see it? Look, it's in the waves, the fluttering leaves, the bent grass, the bird's flight, and a mound of sand. We conveyed this image in the logo and graphic elements of the brand.
The logo is a handwritten drawing with casually tilted letters, like when the wind corrects them. The graphic symbol above the text part is the usual visual stylization of the wind. Several letters in the descriptor "inspired by coffee" are inclined, as if the wind showed its presence.
By the way, we keep the idea of italic letters in all stylistics, headings, and short messages.
We created several elements that also visually convey the presence of wind and complement the visual system, like inclined grass, waves, and the graphical element "wind" itself.
