Imagine walking into a birthday party where instead of a regular cake, there's a cocktail in a bottle shaped just like a traditional birthday cake.
The bottle's body, mimicking the shape of a cake, supports a neck and a cap that act as the birthday candle. This is not just a decorative feature; it's functional too. The cap of the bottle contains wax and a wick, allowing the wick to be lit like a real candle. This detail adds a delightful touch to the ritual of singing 'Happy Birthday,' combining the lighting of the candle with the pouring of a drink.
The line offers a range of popular cocktail flavours designed to cater to diverse palates: Peach Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan, Berry Cake, and Strawberry Cake. Each flavour is represented by a corresponding colour on the bottle's graphic, making each one distinct and easily identifiable.
Started as a design concept this project turned into a real product. We were lucky to have a client who was willing to invest into a proprietary bottle but at the same time it became our biggest challenge. Along the way we had to amend proportions of the bottle and closure and graphics to match manufacturer's requirements. Several materials were considered and tested for burning timing but timber was the only possible solution for a mass production.
