Finished piece, completed 1/20/23. This 18x24 acrylic painting is titled "Wishing". It depicts my sister spending her birthday alone while I was away at college, wishing we could be together.

I continued adding light and shadow and blocked in colors for the cupcake.

I then built up the shadows and colors in the face.

I started with a black background and lightly blocked in the shapes.
