Customer Problem. "The product photos at Home Depot look like they came off the packaging and they don't really inspire me."

Business Challenge. Home Depot sells over 3 million products and needed photography standards for new merchandise, promotional events, packaging and in-store use. How did we raise the bar on inspiration, project how-to's and the "show me" aspect of all Home Depot imagery across multiple photo studios?

The Solution. Set photography guidelines for the multiple photography vendors contracted by Home Depot to ensure a consistent look across the product categories. Additionally for new products, we established a dedicated high end photo studio in one of our warehouses that photographed each product as it arrived. From refrigerators to light bulbs 360 degree animations were created as well as pro quality images to be used in store and online.

Customer Problem. "Sometimes I find the Home Depot shopping experience to be more utilitarian and less inspirational."

Business Challenge. Needed to focus on the goal of bringing moments of unexpected delight to the everyday experience. How do we raise the bar on inspiration, project how-to's and the "show me" aspect of all Home Depot imagery?

The Solution.
Produced an expanded image library to include cinemagraphs to add a subtle sense of motion to the experience. Used in social marketing, product pages and project guides.
