Vaya Brand Identity

New conceptual work for South African Footwear brand, Vaya. I was briefed to come up with a unique brandmark to embody the new direction the brand is taking. Vaya means 'to go' hence the payoff line "Go for it." Using the V shape (which is also the 2x A's) I've merge them to form this inter-locking device (a hint to how traditionally shoelaces weave into each other). This makes for a visually impactful brandmark, it had to be brave, bold and daring. Modern and timeless at the same time. "Yet it also needed to tell our story. 
The African story. The story of community. Of a people that have come together to overcome and GO FOR IT." Come along on this journey with me. Let's Go for it!
