Camping

Camping is an open air action including overnight avoids home in a safe house, for example, a tent. By and large members leave created zones to invest energy outside in more normal ones in quest for exercises giving them satisfaction. To be viewed as “outdoors” at least one night is spent outside, recognizing it from day- stumbling, picnicking, and other also here and now recreational exercises. Outdoors can be delighted in through every one of the four seasons. With time, it grew more democratic, and varied. Modern campers frequent publicly owned natural resources such as national and state parks, wilderness areas, and commercial campgrounds too.
- Outdoor Camping

Camping outdoors is a key piece of numerous adolescent associations around the globe, for example, Scouting, which utilize it to instruct both confidence and collaboration. Adventure camping is a form of camping by people who are into adventure acts during the day, and camp in a minimalist way at night. They might use the basic items of camping equipment such as a mini- outdoor stove, sleeping sack & a tent.
- Mordern Camping

In more recent years, those who camp alone have been able to share their experiences with other campers, through blogs and online social networking. There are many online websites especially designed for people who are looking for camping companions or for those who only want to share their experiences with other people. In this case, campers may provide the others with useful tips resulting from their own experience. Individuals who are willing to camp are likely to access this type of websites and connect with other campers, especially if they are novices, because it gives them the opportunity to learn more about this activity.
History of Tents
- The main confirmation of tent tents were produced using Mammoth stows
away. Not all that basic when your after-school errand comprises of killing, cleaning and sewing the stow away of a 8-ton, 13-foot tall elephant.

- Over the course of a few millenia, our ancestors realized the mammoth-motel lacked in some practical applications, like probability of their increasingly nomadic lifestyle.

- Styles developed over the time course, some derived from nomadic ones.

- With time, it grew more democratic, and varied. Modern campers frequent publicly owned natural resources such as national and state parks, wilderness areas, and commercial campgrounds.

- Today we can see varieties of tents around like.
Adventure Camping Tents
Camping Tents mainly provide short-term shelter with few other characteristics that a regular building provides. These tents are intended for quick, advantageous and modest establishment and utilization. They are not designed for long haul establishment, and are by and large exhorted for use in great climate since their speedy get together style establishment does not prepare them to oppose high breezes or overwhelming downpours without harm or peril to inhabitants..
-Truck Bed Tent

As the name implies, a truck bed tent is a tent that’s designed to be set up in the bed of a pickup truck. Truck bed tents function very similarly to regular tents. However, they provide the added benefit of not having to be deployed on the ground, eliminating the possibility of problems due to irregular terrains, ground water and various other unpredictable circumstances. Truck bed tents are becoming popular due to their practicality and convenience. They are great for truck camping, tail gate parties, and long road trips. It’s much easier and cheaper to sleep in the back of your truck than to get a hotel room and less risky than pitching a tent on the ground.

The original concept for this kind of tent goes back to campers building their own makeshift truck tents from regular tents. However, the first professionally made truck bed tent was created in 1990 by Roman Napieraj, the founder of Napier Enterprises.
Camping Tent Structure System
Manufacturing
- Pre-Production

Exhaustive quality & Control Testing to replace inferiors like fabrics before production phase.
(Weight, Strength & others)

Making

Fabric pieces are cut by sewers as pattern shapes provided with details of fabric, zippers and other details needed.
Components
- Pegs (Stakes) are sometime used to fasten the tent on the ground.
- Sticks or poles gives support to shelter’s structure.
- Groundsheet provides a waterproof barrier between ground and a sleeping bag.
- Inner tent comprises sleeping and living area.
- Rain fly (Weatherproof Flysheet) protects inner tent from water.
Assembly
After unpacking the included parts (Ground cover, tent body or fabric, tent stakes, tent pole sections, and a waterproof cover called the rain-fly.). The camping setup area is then covered with ground cover made of plastic, it covers area as large as, or extend beyond, the floor of the tent. The tent is then unfolded over the ground cover to drive poles or cables through the outside sleeve of the tent body where there are two ways of flysheet assembly in which the most common one includes fastening the corners of the rain-fly to the base of the tent and in some tents, setup involves additional clips or ties that attach to the tent poles.
- Beam/Support

Skeleton defines the structure of the body, Likewise, in tents skeleton depend upon the usability because the support of the tent varies by material, size and structures to serve the purpose . Industrial tents are huge in size so they have to be strong and rigid which then is served by giant beams of Fiberglass, Extruded Aluminum or metal alloys and also some time with wood on the other side the small camping tents are very portable allowing users to pack in minutes because of their flexible PVC cable and sticks and PVC hoops with aircraft grade steel inside.

Waterproofing

To make the shelter waterproof for outdoors, some of the materials like Acrylic Coating, PVC Coating, Woven Ground Fabric, and Plastic Zippers to zip up and make the tent’s inside out of rain splashes, heavy storm for providing a comfortable, and dry camping.

- Strap Locking

After the whole structure is established, It’s pitched on the ground or assembled over and then a strap or belt which is generally attatched to the tent already or provided seperately is then used for keeping the tent stiff reguardless of the wind flow.
To do same with trailer bed of trucks, the belt is then attatched through the bottom of the bed to the other side where there’s the other belt to attatch to.
Pop-Up Tents
Pop-ups are typically round in shape when collapsed and are stored in circular storage bags. These tents defines it’s very function practically because of their great circular design innovation the tent. By holding the edge of the tent and its internal support wires firmly, allows the structure to erect itself on the ground.
Field Research
- from Users

To gather more information about the assembly and user reviews on existing products, I went for some of camping trips with the Adventure camping crew and other passionate trekkers along with rafters to places like Tringalwadi Fort , Tung, Visapur and Bhandardara Lake etc and also conducted Blind folded tent pitching competetion, they had to fill a questionnaire prepared for the crew members on Truck Bed Tent.
- from Market

To assemble more data, I visited sport stores like Decathlon and Shakti Sports Pune with findings of whole lot of details on them weatherproof shed material that keeps people safe inside despite those extreme uncertainties of weather and other findings like top brands worldwide and pictures of camping tent for mini trucks as they were very hard to find.
Brands & Manufacturers

My report on covering major brands in India includes some major to the rising ones where they varies upon prices and quality among their audience ,surely and some of these brands leading now in India includes The North Face, The Coleman Co. ,Wildcraft, Quechua , Wenzel, Valamji.

Project Objective

The project aims creating a camping tent amping which can also be attached or detached to the luggage bed of a life style camping truck with easy unpacking and folding with compact inflatability compared to others surrounding in the market.
