This artwork is a combination of sketches that I made in Union Square Park as I observed my surroundings. I focused on details that I often saw during my time in New York City such as trash, shady corners, and scaffoldings. The outside views seen from the scaffoldings were drawn from photographs I took during Uber rides. My main aim was to convey an uncanny feeling in the area, which is usually associated with abandoned infrastructures in my country. This was one of the differences that I was highlighting between my old environment and my new one.
