User Research

Our team conducted user interviews of our target audience (students and professionals working towards and undergraduate or graduate degree).

From our interviews, we found that our users are tech-savvy, and have a need for an easy on-the-go solution to help them study and retain new information. We learned that our users benefit from repetition, audio, and using their own vocabulary. Our users struggle to remember details, and sometimes have a hard time finding information in one place; so in turn could benefit from a flashcard/learning app. Our users are motivated to learn new information so that they can have successful careers, apply their learning in real life, and grow their confidence.

User Flows

We started by building two user flows, one for creating a new flashcard and one for testing a deck of flashcards. These are two key functions of iLearn and we wanted to make them as seamless as possible for our busy users.
Wireframes

We wanted to keep our app design simple and feel familiar to our users. We liked the simplicity of other flashcard apps like Flashcard Maker, Chegg, and Quizlet and used their design for inspiration for iLearn.
