The Golden Goggle Awards are probably one of my most favorite events to design. This year, 2022, the event was hosted in New York City.  We celebrated our 2022 World Championships Team and use this time as our annual fundraiser for the Foundation. Normally I create the design based off the location of the team we are celebrating (Budapest), but this year I went with a NYC, modern art look and feel. The art above and below that i've showcased carry the simple gold and navy theme throughout each invitation, flower arrangement, print and digital signage, social, video and event space for an immersive aesthetic.
As a designer, for my own wedding, I had to go all out. As you can see from my portfolio site I have a slight obsession with teal. Our wedding was in the fall and we had beautiful pops of yellow foliage with a light dusting of snow on the mountains, not ideal to go with the full teal color.  What better way to accent those colors than with subtle blues and greens. We planned more of a mountain chic look and feel. People were seated by the name of a mountain, the rustic table adorned with ivory linens, light green napkins, blue, green and white flowers accented with branches. The same colors are highlighted in our engagement photos, invitations, the groom's tie, my jewelry and day of signage.
The 2021 Golden Goggle Awards were setup a little different this time; new location, new team, after a pandemic. This event celebrates our Olympic team in Tokyo and doubles as a fundraiser for our Foundation. Using the iconic Japanese water throughout the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Swimming and the Olympics, was then carried through to this event with the addition of a Miami Chic flair. A lot goes into this event, starting with invitation design which is the jumping off point for designing the stage, signage, red carpet, social media, website, table layouts, program and awards.
