Overview
As a specialty coffee pioneer, Intelligentsia offers surprisingly flavorful coffee and highly trained baristas. They offer an
app for customers,but the in-person experience at their coffeebar is incomparable to mobile order. I wanted to redesign
their app for the busy customers like me who has no time to wait in line but still wants the coffeebar experience.
Intelligentsia logo has at least three different variations, all unfortunately resembles existing brands such as Macys' or
Genesis. In order to provide unified brand experience redesigning logo as simple and distinctive was the first step.
Process
Inspired by Intelligentsia's signature red and coffee cherry, roundness is emphasized on icons and buttons with hint of reds.Original Intelligentsia red color was brightened up to give more freshness and monochromatic backgrounds were used to balance the vividness. I focused on designing every pages to resemble the Intelligentsia coffeebar experience.
