In Praise of Anxiety; WSJ

Article written on the motivational aspect of anxiety for the Wall Street Journal.

Full article can be found here.

I enjoyed the vision of anxiety as fuel in a human machine, but the AD preferred the "Anxiety Jungle" take so we explored that. While originally a single man, we added a woman to be back-to-back with him. My first sketch had them looking determined, but the editor preferred they looked scared, so I scared 'em up. In hindsight, with the bear market, scared was probably right (perhaps terrified would have been better).

The image is done in Photoshop with pens from Kyle Webster and True Grit on a 24" Wacom Cintiq on a 3 to 4 day deadline.
