A few months ago, we accepted the challenge of devising a way to communicate the story of the Morelia International Film Festival (FICM).
How could we create a commemorative object that would express the tradition and the culture of the festival in its twentieth edition?
Instead of references to cinema, we developed a message based on the city that has forged one of the principal events in the cinematography industry, not just in Mexico, but on an international level.
We expressed the essence of Morelia and its people in an object that embodies details that make this a place of magic, recalling the origins of the city that has hosted the FICM for so many years.

The collection of trophies represents one of the most recognizable monuments of Morelia: the aqueduct
The process of transforming our concept into a reality led us to explore many existing materials, but always experimenting to seek ways to communicate the message we had defined without requiring words
So, each award-winner will carry a part of this city with them wherever they travel; but always remembering that it is a part of something greaterthat brings them all together.
