Bottoms Mill Shop Project
For this project I was tasked with creating a series of advertisements that gave customers a better idea of what products were sold in store, below are a selection of board which were printed and installed on site and can be seen when potential customers are driving past the store.

My goal was to keep the advertisements minimal and straight to the point as they are targeted at people passing in a matter of seconds. To achieve this I let the imagery do the talking assisted by a short punchy headline supported by some simple text that categorises what people should expect when in store.

Overall I am very happy with the advertisements, they target each demographic really well and have made a significant impact on the footfall for the store.
DIY DEPARTMENT
This Departments target market is predominantly male and generally semi-professional  so in light of this, I chose to use an image of a man with a tool belt to target the demographic visually. The copy simply states what to expect when in store.
COOKWARE DEPARTMENT
This Departments target market is predominantly female, so in light of this, I chose to use an image of a woman's hand with some pink crockery to target the market and make it appeal to women. The font used is very modern and stylish so also targets modern women with a high value for quality.
BEDDING DEPARTMENT
For this advertisement I chose to approach it from the humour aspect as the image is quite funny, this appeals to all demographics. The text is a serif font which feels has a lot of integrity and a traditional feel like a good night sleep.
CHILDRENS TOYS DEPARTMENT
For this department I chose to use an image of a child playing because it says what it does on the tin. The font used is very immature and fun targeting the demographic very well.
TEXTILES DEPARTMENT
The target market for this department is predominantly female and over 50 so I wanted to make the design modern and stylish whilst looking clean and crisp. The font used is traditional serif with stylish quirks, the slogan "comfort is queen" brings a modern slang towards the design and widens the age demographic of the market.
HOMEWARE DEPARTMENT
The target market for this brand is mostly modern women with a stylish attitude towards interior design, the image used captures a modern sleek interior design which many people aspire to achieve in their own home, thus making it perfect for the advertisement.

The font used is a crisp and clean sans serif font that is minimal and stylist complementing the interests of the market.
Occasional Gifts Department
The target market for this advertisement is people looking to celebrate friends and families birthdays, the age bracket is very broad and the sex is also very split. For this reason I chose to make the design appeal to all audiences through the use of the colour blue and the stylish font that feels crisp and clean.
Outdoor Clothing Department
The target market for this advertisement is predominantly male, for this reason I chose to use an image of a male looking into the expanse of nature making the ad feel very broad and spacious, the imagery used paints a picture of who the target market is and the text used is very durable and rugged much like the gear sold in store.
