Mashey - Website Illustrations

Work done for Detraform, to illustrate Mashey's new website, a data analysis company based in Denver - USA.
The idea was to illustrate, in a very subjective way, a hero's journey in search of knowledge. With many references ranging from MC.Escher, Salvador Dali and the sci-fi book collection "Mysteries of the Unkown", I was able to explore new techniques outside of my comfort zone.
I was also inspired by the work of David Umemoto to represent some volumetric structures present in the work.
I used very mixed techniques in this project, from 3D, collage, drawing and digital painting. I think the result can be described as a "retro-surrealist-fever dream" hahaha!
