Plymouth Parks

I was commissioned by Plymouth City Council to create a set of illustrations for their upcoming "Plan for Parks and Natural Spaces". A key part of the brief was to put the emphasis on their work in urban spaces as well as their increasingly nature-focused approach, which means leaving things like letting the grass grow long and creating spaces for pollinators.

Plymouth has recently been named the greenest city in the UK so it is lovely to bring out our natural assets in these illustrations.

I've loved experimenting with patterns and shapes within a purposefully limited colour palette. I've delved deep into gradients and pattern creation whilst using the barest colour palette I could get away with to create a truly cohesive set of illustrations.

I'm sure Plymouth folks will recognise a few landmarks in these!
