St. Teresa of Ávila
St. Teresa of Ávila, also called St. Teresa of Jesus (1515-1582). Spanish nun, mystic, author of spiritual writings and Doctor of the Church.
I had the opportunity to stay a couple of days in Ávila and visit the convent where she lived. The fact that the city still has such great devotion for her after all these years moved me very deeply.
Also, let me share something Jesus said to her in one of her visions:
“I would create the universe again just to hear you say that you love me.”
It’s so beautiful, I can’t stop thinking about it!
