somnambul - soundscape
Put your headphones on (and close your eyes) for an pure listening experience.

In the soundscape, the contrast between the apparent waking state and the dream should be represented. The concept makes use of parts of the phenomenon of the "false awakening", which manifests itself in the fact that the dreamer leaves his original dream situation and changes into the waking state, goes about his morning routine, only to wake up after a certain time and realize that what he has just experienced was only a dream aswell.

The listener takes on the role of the dreamer and wanders from the beginning into deeper and deeper levels of the dream until the dream environment becomes more and more acute and the dreamer is finally awakened by the ringing of his alarm clock.

I used the OKM Soundman microphones and created a narrative soundscape with the recorded audio. For editing I used Audacity. Elements such as tempo and speed manipulation, low-pass and high-pass filters, overlays of audio tracks, playing tunes backwards and working with the envelope and echo effects tool were used to abstract the sounds.
