Typographic and Vector Take on The White Stripes Tribute Ballet 'Chroma'
For the XL Recordings brief I aimed to primarily convey the ballet aspect of the Chroma performance. Ballet is usually perceived as perfect and clean cut but in Chroma their movements are much more jagged and the whole set is quite quirky. I wanted to show this by incorporating a light but gritty uneven background and the altering typography, symbolising its unique and spontaneous nature. The vector and typographic theme also correlates with the ballet's modern style and would appeal to a wider audience than just those who enjoy ballet.
