I'm putting down the easel and going to Waffle Weasel!

Ever had a bit of backstory that took on a life of its own? I'm 14 pages into a sci-fi adventure comic book, and I needed a greasy spoon for the interstellar truck stop. Hey, why not make it a franchise? And who doesn't love waffles?

For me, America perfected its version of the corporate mascot in the 50's or 60s. But I encountered all those outside of their natural context. Do they mean more or less to me as a result? Does Waffle Weasel make any sense by itself? And does something called Waffle Weasel have any business asking you the questions?

If there was one up the street, I'd eat there once. If I was 7 I'd want to eat there every day.

Also, be sure to stop after church on Sunday for their Waffle Weaselpalooza Carb Communion all you can eat brunch (and that's all you can eat, not all you care to!).
Process: These started out as ~150 images generated using Midjourney and I series of prompts. Images above were comp'd and edited from the best of those using Adobe Photoshop. I initially needed about 16 for my purposes, but much like eating waffles, once I started making these it was hard to stop. I might have to print a 16x20 of one for somewhere.
