Franklin Gothic Posterzine

BRIEF
You are required to create an A2 8 page posterzine for a typeface family of your choice, inspired by appropriate themes related to your font. The posterzine should include: the history of the typeface’s development and its origins, a review of its visual aspects in terms of shape, line, weight etc. as well as examples of the font in work by other designers, as well as a very awesome poster of your font in action. All copy must be designed in the chosen typeface, unless it is too ornamental, in which case an appropriate body font needs to be chosen and your chosen font used for headings and design elements. You are required to experiment with interesting typography and layouts, celebrating and highlighting the strengths of your typeface.
Your catalogue must be a minimum of 8 single pages, as per the templates provided. This page requirement includes the cover and back cover.
All text must be in your own words – do not cut and paste information from other sources without acknowledgement. This is called plagiarism and is illegal. Reference all example images with a source according to the FADA referencing guide.
Your posterzine must be handed in as a perfect printed and folded A3 zine (yes, I know it’s not A2, but there are no printers in SA that prints double-sided A2 for students.  You must also submit a packaged InDesign (not Illustrator) document of your booklet, as well as the pdf you sent to print. This document must be 100% print-ready. Please use the checklist included at the end of this brief to make certain your document is perfect for print.

My concept is explore various solutions through the use of design movements style that existed during the time this font was formed. These design movements include Bauhaus and Modernism.
