Reminiscence

Reminiscence
The concept of acrylic paintings portraying certain childhood and experiential memories of our lives, that remained undocumented was given birth during the second lockdown period in India. A blank piece
of canvas on a beautiful easel remained untouched and unstroked for quite a long time, until one fine morning, when it happened to be the day when dad, brother and I decided to mess around with it's pristine look.

We are creating a series of paintings TOGETHER, to cherish the memories that have been shared together.
The real tussle between my grandpa and the monkeys to grab more jamuns (black plums) from its tree is just hillarious !!

The feels of lying down together under the same fan, on the same floor, in front of the same tv, in the same alternative clothes and in the same style during the days of lockdown! 🤓😎 Painting the Lockdown family chill ‘TOGETHER’.

As kids, dad used to make us sit on the parapet of our little utility area especially on Sundays and holidays. While I used to cry the hell out of it, Vimarsh used to try being adventurous and grab some leaves of the adjacent neem tree. Such a memory never had a documented photograph.
To that child that remains in all our hearts. 😀
Thank You!
