Para la realización de este proyecto, nos centramos desde su inicio en la investigación y formalización a base de los cinco sentidos. Cada una de nosotras se centró en uno para encontrar los elementos que nos marcaban la diferencia respecto a otros puntos de Llobregat. Nosotras decidimos realizar la investigación en el tramo del río que pasa por delante de Olesa de Montserrat. Después de una seguida investigación, nos dimos cuenta de que este tramo, nos servía para ser navegable gracias a su caudal, y decidimos recorrer por la orilla del río su curso, para así observar donde nos era más asequible atravesar, partiendo con idea de inicio en cruzar el río. Después de la primera presentación, donde explicamos nuestra experiencia y conclusiones con el entorno, tuvimos que pensar en una idea que siguiese con el mismo concepto que habíamos tomado en la primera parte de la investigación. Descartamos la idea de realizar un puente o una balsa para cruzar el río, ya que a pocos metros ya había un puente con el que podíamos cruzar sin problemas. Al principio nos estuvimos preguntando, por qué no cruzar el río andando en uno de los puntos donde el agua nos llegaba a las rodillas, y acabamos entendiendo que tal vez lo importante en este punto del río no era cruzarlo, no hacía falta replicar una solución ya existente. Así que después de un debate deliberado, entendimos que los sentidos son uno de los elementos más primarios de la humanidad, y qué mejor modo que abordar el río con este concepto. Debíamos cambiar la perspectiva del río, hacerlo más cercano y accesible, sin que sus habitantes corrieran el riesgo de sus corrientes y remolinos. Así que, qué mejor análisis del río, que situándonos literalmente encima de él. Nos pusimos manos a la obra para crear un saliente de tierra que, nos acercara a la otra orilla, pero manteniéndonos en el centro del río, para gozar de nuestros sentidos desde una perspectiva que no habíamos podido sentir antes.

Esta plataforma cuenta con diferentes elementos para agudizar estos sentidos, y ayudarnos a entender en profundidad el entorno del río Llobregat.

La intención es preservar y estimular nuestros sentidos cuando estamos en la plataforma. Por ejemplo, imaginamos que la persona que la utiliza puede acostarse o sentarse en ella para cerrar los ojos y sentirse ligera, no cuestionarla, concentrada en los sonidos, la humedad del agua, la forma de los árboles, estudiando los detalles de la naturaleza y su comportamiento. La persona en la plataforma puede estar atenta, relajarse, meditar, o escuchar, perderse físicamente y conceptualmente, y encontrarse proyectada en el entorno sólo a través de los cinco sentidos. Esta es una experiencia que nos atrae con los sentidos a considerar el valor del agua y de sus propiedades sustentadoras para el universo. Dispuestos a tener una actitud de colaboración con la naturaleza, intentando rescatar este sentimiento que como seres tecnológicos hemos olvidado por completo.

Y por último llegando al entregable final y su narrativa de proyecto, este ha seguido una correlación en respecto al concepto y el estilo. Inicialmente, la idea de entrelazar nuestra investigación con los sentidos, nos ha llevado a investigar gráficamente en un estilo, finalmente limpio pero no alejado de donde venimos, el entorno natural. Escogimos un verde contrastado con los diferentes tonos de verde que encontramos en el punto de investigación. Queríamos presentar el trabajo de forma seria, por eso la elección final tiene por color ese verde tan oscuro e intenso. Las imágenes fueron todas tintadas del color que elegimos, para seguir el código de estilo que creamos, al igual que el texto, en su mayor parte del mismo color verde, con excepción del blanco para crear contraste con el fondo.

To carry out this project, we focused from the beginning on research and formalisation based on the five senses. Each of us focused on one of them to find the elements that made us different from other parts of the Llobregat. We decided to carry out the research on the stretch of the river that passes in front of Olesa de Montserrat. After a thorough investigation, we realised that this section of the river was navigable thanks to its flow, and we decided to go along the river bank to see where it was more accessible for us to cross, starting with the idea of crossing the river. After the first presentation, where we explained our experience and conclusions with the environment, we had to think of an idea that followed the same concept that we had taken in the first part of the investigation. We discarded the idea of building a bridge or a raft to cross the river, as there was already a bridge a few metres away that we could cross without any problems. At first we wondered why not cross the river on foot at one of the points where the water was up to our knees, and ended up understanding that perhaps the important thing at this point of the river was not to cross it, there was no need to replicate an existing solution. So after a deliberate debate, we understood that the senses are one of the most primal elements of humanity, and what better way than to approach the river with this concept. We had to change the perspective of the river, make it more approachable and accessible, without putting its inhabitants at risk of its currents and eddies. So what better way to analyse the river than by literally standing on top of it. We set to work to create an overhang of land that would bring us closer to the other bank, but keeping us in the centre of the river, to enjoy our senses from a perspective that we had not been able to feel before.

This platform has different elements to sharpen these senses and help us to understand the Llobregat river environment in depth.

The intention is to preserve and stimulate our senses when we are on the platform. For example, we imagine that the person using it can lie or sit on it to close their eyes and feel light, not questioning it, concentrating on the sounds, the humidity of the water, the shape of the trees, studying the details of nature and its behaviour. The person on the platform can be attentive, relax, meditate, or listen, lose themselves physically and conceptually, and find themselves projected into the environment only through the five senses. This is an experience that draws us with the senses to consider the value of water and its sustaining properties to the universe. Willing to have an attitude of collaboration with nature, trying to rescue this feeling that as technological beings we have completely forgotten.

And finally coming to the final deliverable and its project narrative, this has followed a correlation in terms of concept and style. Initially, the idea of intertwining our research with the senses, has led us to investigate graphically in a style, finally clean but not far from where we come from, the natural environment. We chose a green contrasted with the different shades of green that we found at the point of investigation. We wanted to present the work in a serious way, that's why the final choice of colour is that dark and intense green. The images were all tinted in the colour we chose, to follow the style code we created, as was the text, mostly in the same green colour, with the exception of white to create contrast with the background.
