The branding of Pomagranite is based on an actual home, garden and hardware store in San Luis Obispo. Pomagranite provides home building materials, gardening supplies such as plants and trees, indoor and outdoor home furnishings, and general items such as paint and plumbing accessories.
The name Pomagranite was chosen for its connotations to a mythological fruit that causes seasonal shifts in the tale of Demeter and Persephone. The name was changed to a phonetic spelling to suggest the content of the store including raw materials such as granite.
