Accredited Online Schools in India: A Shift to Remote Learning
Educational accreditation is the formal recognition from an agency that an institution maintains a certain level of educational standards. It ensures the quality of the educational institute by verifying it through an external body.

21K School is an officially recognised and accredited K12 school offering three different curricula for students aged 3-18 in India and around the globe. Under the American Curriculum, 21K School has partnered with Stride, Inc. USA which is the world’s leading online school offering high-quality personalised learning programs for students. Students in India will partner with Stride’s curriculum, specifically from The Keystone School, an accredited private online school for students worldwide. Under the IGCSE Curriculum, 21K School has partnered with the NISAI Group - a Cambridge International School, it offers Cambridge International Examinations totally online for students in India and overseas, as per the British curriculum. Pearson Edexcel, the UK's leading awarding agency, has also affiliated and recognised 21K School as an Edexcel-approved centre.

The Indian curriculum at 21K School adheres to the National Curriculum Framework of India up to the middle school level. It also employs a NIOS-based system for exit level examinations in Grades 10 and 12, with NIOS, an autonomous body under the Government of India, issuing Marks Sheets and Pass Certificates. These certificates are equivalent to CBSE or CISCE certificates and are accepted for admission to colleges and universities such as IIT, medical schools, and UPSC.

At the end of the year, all qualifying pupils get a term grade sheet from 21K School. At the parent's request, a Transfer Certificate (TC) is granted towards the end of the academic year, rather than in the middle of the academic year. To receive the TC, parents must obtain No Due Certificates. According to Sections 5 (2) and (3) of the Right to Education Act, Government of India, no child shall be denied admission in the absence of a transfer certificate (TC). This, however, only applies up until Grade 8. For students seeking admission in Grades 9-12 with CBSE/ ICSE / State Boards, a TC and Marks Sheet from a certified institute are required. All Boards recognise and accept NIOS Mark Sheets.

As a parent, it’s crucial to always find an accredited online school. It’s one of the most important factors to look for while searching for a good school to put your child in. The scope, opportunities and quality of education of your child improves based on the accreditations of the school. So never overlook this significant aspect of your child’s school.
